Private Lessons 

Private lessons are done at the client's home or a pet friendly location. Each lesson covers detailed training steps for your dog's specific needs. The recommended amount of training lessons for basic obedience is 4-8 lessons.

Service Dog Evaluations

Service dog evaluations are done at pet friendly locations. We will do several tests to see whether or not your dog has the right temperament for service dog training. Testing will include reaction to loud noises and strange sites, food motivation, attention span, willingness to please, etc. 

If we are testing a young puppy, then the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test will be administered. 

***If you're considering the use of a service animal and do not already have a dog, then please reach out before getting the dog! This will allow for a trainer to help find you a dog with the best possible temperament to prevent washing the dog from training. 

Pet Evaluations

If you're a new pet owner or if you want to find a dog that fits your family perfectly, then its best to consult with a trainer before even getting a dog. Pet evaluations will give you an insight on the temperament of the dog you are interested in. They can be held at any shelter or location where the dog is being held.

Group Classes

Looking to advance your dog's training? Group classes will teach your dog to focus with other pets present. Group classes are typically held at a pet store, Cabela's, or other pet friendly locations. These classes are going to be geared toward dogs working towards there CGC title. 

S.T.A.R Puppy

Puppies must attend a 6 week group class taught by an approved AKC CGC Evaluator. Visit the link at the bottom for the 20 test items. 

Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

Testing requirements: 

1. Accepting of friendly stranger

2. Sitting politely for petting

3. Appearance and grooming

4. Out for walk (no pulling)

5. Walking through a crowd

6. Sit and down on command

7. Come when called 

8. Reaction to other dog 

9. Reaction to distractions 

10. Supervised Separation

Urban Canine Good Citizen (CGCU)

Testing requirements:

1. Exit/enter doorways with no pulling 

2. Walk through a crowd on a busy urban sidewalk

3. Appropriate reaction to city distraction 

4. Crossing street under control

5. Ignore food on sidewalk

6. Person walks up and pets

7. Walks under control in public building 

8. Stairs, steps, or elavator under control 

9. House trained

10. Enters/exits Transportation controlably 

Advanced Canine Good Citizen (CGCA)

Testing requirements:

1. Dog stands, sits, or lays down and waits under control while the owner does activity

2. Dog loose leash walking through natural distractions 

3. Dog walks on loose leash through crowd

4. Dog walks past distractions and does not pull

5. Sit-stay in small group

6. Dog allows person carrying something to approach it

7. "Leave it" as owner walks past distractions

8. Down or sit stay at 20ft distance 

9. Recall with distractions present 

10. Dog enters/exits doorway without pulling
